Collision Insurance

Collision Auto Insurance is just what it sounds like. It is mandatory when you get car insurance. You need it in case you get into an accident and it is your fault.

Comprehensive Insurance

Comprehensive Auto Insurance is basically anything that the collision doesn’t handle except for a couple things in which you would need underinsured insurance and uninsured insurance.

Major Differences

You will have two separate deductibles and pay separate rates based on the two. Collision is mandatory when picking up a policy because you need to be able to pay for another vehicle if you were to hit them. When you have both coverages you are considered to have “Full Coverage”.
